One day I went to take out the trash and found an entire old white picket fence in a pile next to the trash compactor. You'd be amazed at what people just throw out there! Anyways, I had a fleeting moment of inspiration of making something from them as I had seen on my friend Kristy's blog whose husband is UBER creative. So I got as many as I could fit in my trunk and took them home and finally got to them while sorting and packing. I wanted to make one of these and was really happy doing it. It will be a great piece of decor for the yard/house exterior. I think my favorite part was painting it because this red is my favorite shade of red. Here's to Old Glory!
